The Recruit

The Recruit stars Colin Farrell and Al Pacino. Al Pacino seeks out Farrell's character to become a CIA trainee even though the CIA does not recruit anymore. The movie states that there are too many good applicants to worry about going out and recruiting. Colin Farrell's character's area of expertise is computers and computer programming. When Al Pacino first tries to recruit Farrell's character he tells Farrell that he knew his father, thus convincing Farrell to join the program.

While in training, we watch the trainees go through grueling "tests", both physical and mental. We watch as several recruits quit or are asked to leave the program and we watch as Farrell's character even falls in love along the way.

This movie helped me appreciate Farrell's acting a little, having only seen him in Daredevil; however, I do believe that there is room for improvement. The story had some really good high points, but lack in others, but enjoyment was plentiful. The ending had some twists and turns but, in my opinion, it was predictable, but sometimes you want it to end the way you expected.

I'm going to give it a 7 out of 10. It was enjoyable, it had some action, suspense, humor, and even a little romance thrown in, however, the acting and the story could have been improved on.
